So I signed up and put in my meds, supps and OTCs. It won't do drug to drug, but drug to supp and OTCs. I finally caught the 3 pt drop in my TSH from June to the August MTX acute hepatitis fiasco, to dropping 8 weeks ago to .10 of abnormal low. Got to blow through another primary when after 3 weeks of pointing this out, she dropped my Synthroid without taking a baseline TSH. As I am always having to run defense with these morons, I had a TSH order from my alt doctor, which I had done about 1/2 hour after leaving the ex's office. I have never had a thyroid med change without a baseline test.
Here is what Pill Advised said about iron deficiency, which I am being treated for:
Synthroid interacts with iron. Iron deficiency anemia increases sensitivity to the effects of thyroid hormone and may need to be corrected for an adequate dose of thyroid replacement to be tolerated. (Campbell et. al.) She DROPPED my Synthroid, which was correct with the two month old TSH and the 6 month trend I discovered. However, this is saying I should be getting INCREASED thyroid replacement with iron deficiency (anemia). I cannot wait to get the TSH test.
I got a 46 page printout with references from my med/supp and OTC interactions, GOOD and bad. Thanks for the tip Suzanne!
